Happy Easter!
HappyEaster
I had a wonderful Easter. My family always has an Easter brunch at my parents’ house. The whole family gathers together, has a wonderful breakfast and then hangs out for a good part of the day. I always preferred Christmas Brunch to Easter because there was a guaranteed huge pot of Creamed Chip Beef at Easter. Granted, Easter always offered wonderful Quiches, but of course I didn’t appreciate them until recently.
Anywho, James family has a very different tradition. His aunt Edith makes reservations at a local restaurant and they gather there for brunch. This year was at the Pumphouse Restaurant. The Easter brunch had a wonderful variety of food. Among the choices were waffles, French toast, scrambled eggs with cheese, eggs Benedict, varieties of potato dishes, bacon, sausage, ham and much more. I wound up pigging out on bacon, scrambled eggs and au gratin potatoes! I picked up a number of other things but my tastes seem to be changing about every 5 minutes or so. So far, only eggs, bacon and potatoes are safe from my hormonal taste changes.
To my surprise, Aunt Edith had Easter baskets (gift bags) for us. My bag was very cute with a baby label on it. I forgot to take a picture – sorry. In it were some things that definitely triggered me getting attached.
An Angel Teddy Bear baby toy…
Safety 1st Outlet plugs…
A rubber ducky that tells if bath water is too hot…
And the best part… baby socks! Very very little baby socks!
These just make me melt! I think I’m starting to get more attached!
Easter was wonderful. My mom and dad called and that was wonderful as well! I’m getting very excited about this baby being on it’s way and very excited about going down south next summer to visit. My cousin Kelly is getting married at the end of July and it looks like I’ll be coming down with baby for the wedding. So much is happening!
