Crayons Children’s Resale

Saving money, and still having loads of fun, is one of the challenges of any parent, and as a stay-at-home mom, it’s a big deal!  There is one place in Houston that I’m hooked on, and have been since we moved here a few years ago….

This lovely lady is “Miss Gail.”  She runs the place with her daughter Emily.  She’s grinning from ear to ear because this photo was taken during the Grand  Opening of their new location.  Crayons had been at the other location for MANY years and this move is a BIG deal!

The new store is HUGE and there is so much to see!  In the photo below, you can see the display counter where items like LeapFrog electronics, videos and other fancy stuff are kept AND where a HUGE selection of Avon items is available.  There are handmade bows and hair clips for sale, a great selection of shoes, maternity clothes, boys and girls clothing and tweens and teen clothes too!  It all depends on what is coming in from consignors, but the variety of items is always sure to please.

And then… then there is the toy area… It’s huge.  There are ride on toys, board games, dress up clothes, books, train sets, and so much more… Not to mention, a huge selection of NEW Melissa and Doug toys.  Everything is nicely organized and very reasonably priced.  All toys are clean (as is anything else you buy here) and my kids have a blast working their way around the displays.

At the old store, the dressing room was a curtain hung in a corner… it worked okay for me, but it wasn’t much.  At the new store, there is a real dressing room!  And the bathroom is amazing, with a changing table and bags available for stinky diapers.

There is so much more to talk about… but alas, I have children and have to get back to work!  So… GO CHECK IT OUT!
