Vital ID Bracelets : Momma Melanie Recommends!
When I was planning our first “Me & the kids” flight, I was panicking about losing one of my kids in the airport. How do you even begin to prove that your child IS your child? And if someone is asking my child, trying to find out where I am, how would they figure it out? What’s your mommy’s name? Momma?
I saw photos online of children with phone numbers written in Sharpie Markers, covered with clear nail polish, but it seemed extreme, and I couldn’t help but recall ink poisoning warnings as a child.
When I found these, I was THRILLED!
It’s a velcro bracelet that says VITAL ID on it, and when opened, it has a folded paper with contact information on it. I started having my kids wear theirs at the zoo or any other busy place, so that they would be used to it by the time we flew. On my daughter, I sometimes had to put it on her ankle, but without fail, they usually forgot about it quickly. Total success!
