Nostalgia! Let’s Go to the Zoo

Have you ever been going along with life and then something triggered a memory?  Well, when this book arrived in a package from my folks, I had one of those moments.  Okay, it wasn’t A memory… this book was part of my childhood.  I happen to think it might be one of THE best children’s books of all time.

Why??  Because it’s SO cool!

Okay, my son doesn’t neccessarily agree with me… But my daughter is fascinated by it.  And I love it!

I’m going to guess that my adoration for this book is directly related to the cuteness of the monkey.

And the fact that you don’t just READ this book… You are a PART of this book.

What happened to cool books like this?  Do you know of any modern ones?  I love pop up and whatnot… but I especially love that this book has no loose attachments… the entertaining parts are done by the kids!

**Happy Sigh**  I really do love surprises that bring back happy feelings and give me a chance to share a part of MY childhood with my children.  And… I love books that my kids actually enjoy reading.
